Prof. Galusek and Dr. Michálek Represented FunGlass at Teaming Club 2026 in Riga

The Teaming Club 2026 Conference, held in Riga, Latvia, from 23 to 25 September 2026, brought together representatives of European Teaming Centres, policymakers, and research managers to discuss the long-term sustainability and impact of Centres of Excellence.

The conference provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen cooperation, and explore new approaches to building sustainable research and innovation ecosystems across Europe.

As part of the programme, Prof. Dušan Galusek presented the GlaCerHub Project as a success story of regional innovation and excellence in advanced glass and ceramics. His presentation highlighted how GlaCerHub is developing a cross-border innovation ecosystem between Slovakia and Czechia, connecting research, technology transfer, education and training, and cooperation among academia, industry, public authorities, and society.

During the conference, Dr. Martin Michálek and Prof. Galusek also held B2B meetings with representatives of several Teaming Centres. The discussions focused on potential synergies and opportunities for future collaboration in research, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for FunGlass to share its experience with the wider European Teaming community and to establish new contacts for future cooperation.
