FunGlass Hosts Guest Lectures by Dr. Rosalia Poyato Galán
It was a pleasure to host Dr. Rosalia Poyato Galán at FunGlass as a guest lecturer from January 21–23, 2026. Dr. Poyato Galán is a researcher at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMS), Spain, which brings together research groups from The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Seville.
Her research focuses on powder homogenization and sintering processes, as well as the investigation of mechanical, tribological, and electrical properties of ceramic/2D nanostructure composites.
During her stay, Dr. Poyato Galán delivered two lectures:
-
Tailoring the microstructure of advanced zirconia composites incorporating 2D nanomaterials through the control of processing
-
Mechanical and electrical properties of advanced zirconia ceramics incorporating 2D nanomaterials: Potential applications
Over the three-day visit, there was enough time for in-depth scientific discussions with FunGlass colleagues. Dr. Poyato Galán proved to be an outstanding professional and lecturer, as well as a very open and approachable person, fostering a productive and engaging exchange of ideas.
We sincerely thank Dr. Rosalia Poyato Galán for her valuable contribution and look forward to future collaboration.
This event was supported by CLiCAM and GlaCerHub projects.
