FunGlass Continues to Share Best Practices at the Horizon Europe Summer School 2026
FunGlass was once again actively involved in the Horizon Europe Summer School for Project Managers, held in Omšenie, Slovakia, from 29 June to 2 July 2026. The event, organised by the National Contact Points for Horizon Europe at the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR), brought together project managers, researchers, and research support professionals from Slovak universities, research organisations, and industry to strengthen their expertise in European research and innovation programmes.
This year, FunGlass’s new Project Coordinator, Lucia Holubková, participated in the intensive training programme, gaining valuable practical knowledge in Horizon Europe proposal preparation, project implementation, and research management. The Summer School also provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges, and establish new professional contacts for future collaborations.

FunGlass also contributed to the programme through a presentation by Andrea Chrastinová from the FunGlass EU Project Office, who shared the Centre’s extensive experience in managing European research projects. Drawing on the successful implementation of the GlaCerHub and CLiCAM projects, she presented best practices in project coordination, proposal development, communication with project partners, and the day-to-day management of international collaborative projects. Her presentation highlighted the importance of close cooperation between researchers and project managers as a key factor in the successful delivery of European-funded projects.

The event provided an excellent platform not only for professional development but also for strengthening existing partnerships and establishing new connections within the Slovak research and innovation community. FunGlass’s participation in the Summer School reflects the Centre’s ongoing commitment to developing expertise in European project management and actively contributing to the Horizon Europe community.
