Congratulations to Our New PhD Graduate: Dr. Parisa Naghadian Moghaddam
We are pleased to congratulate Dr. Parisa Naghadian Moghaddam on the successful public defense of her PhD dissertation, held on 27 July 2026 at the FunGlass Centre, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín.
Her dissertation, entitled “Development of Corrosion-Resistant Polymer-Derived Ceramic Coatings on Stainless Steel Substrates,” focused on the development of advanced ceramic coatings that enhance the corrosion resistance of stainless steel through polymer-derived ceramic technologies.

Parisa’s doctoral research was supervised by Dr. Milan Parchovianský (Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, Slovakia) and Dr. Yolanda Castro (CSIC, Spain). Her PhD was completed under a double-degree (cotutelle) agreement, reflecting the successful collaboration between Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Spain.
The dissertation was evaluated by two distinguished reviewers: Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Günter Motz (University of Bayreuth, Germany) and Dr. Giulio Giorni (CSIC, Madrid, Spain). The public defense took place in the FunGlass Conference Room, where Parisa successfully presented her research and confidently addressed the questions and comments of the examination committee.
