FunGlass at the 10th Shaping Conference in Padova
The 10th Shaping Conference, jointly organized by the European Ceramic Society and the Italian Ceramic Society with the support of the University of Padova, took place in Padova, Italy, from September 21–23, 2026. The conference focused on advanced shaping processes for ceramics and ceramic-based composites, bringing together researchers and professionals working in ceramic processing and additive manufacturing.
Dr. Anastasiia Novokhatska represented FunGlass at the conference and presented the work “Fabrication of High-Performance SOFC Monolithic Assemblies via Multi-Material DLP 3D Printing.” Her presentation highlighted the potential of multi-material digital light processing (DLP) for fabricating advanced monolithic solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) assemblies and demonstrated the role of additive manufacturing in developing complex ceramic energy devices.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to present ongoing research, exchange scientific ideas, and discuss recent developments in advanced ceramic processing and additive manufacturing. It also offered a good platform for strengthening existing collaborations and establishing new contacts with researchers working in related fields.
The discussions during the conference opened up perspectives for future collaborative activities, including further development of multi-material additive manufacturing strategies, optimization of ceramic processing routes, and exploration of new approaches to fabricating high-performance SOFC architectures. These interactions can support the continuation and expansion of joint research activities within the FunGlass project and beyond.
