Ertuğrul Varlık presents latest BiCeps research at COMAT 2026

We are pleased to share that Dr. Ertuğrul Varlık from the Department of Biomaterials participated in COMAT 2026 – Modern Trends in Structural Materials, held on September 8–10, 2026, at the COMTES FHT a.s. research centre in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

During the conference, Dr. Varlık presented the latest results of his research on multi-material additive manufacturing of ceramics, contributing two posters and an oral presentation within a workshop. His contributions focused on innovative approaches to ceramic additive manufacturing and reflected ongoing work carried out within the framework of the BiCeps Project.

  • Poster 1: Development of a low-cost multi-material DIW/robocasting system via FDM printer modification
  • Poster 2: Digital light processing of KNN-based piezoceramics and magnetic glasses toward multifunctional smart structures

The conference brought together researchers and experts from academia and industry to present recent developments in structural materials, their applications, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The programme included expert lectures, poster sessions, and discussions on innovative solutions supporting sustainable development and technological transformation.

We would also like to thank Dr. Edgar B. Montufar, Project Coordinator of the BiCeps Project at CEITEC Brno University of Technology (BUT), for his insightful contribution and for supporting the collaboration within the project.

We are proud to see our researchers actively contributing to international scientific events and sharing FunGlass research with the wider materials science community.
