FunGlass Centre Hosted Researchers from XIOPM, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Last Wednesday, May 20, the FunGlass Centre welcomed distinguished researchers from the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM), Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. The visiting delegation included Prof. Jiangbo She, Prof. Baoli Yao, and Prof. Yuxi Fu, internationally recognized experts in the fields of optical materials, ultrafast laser technologies, photonics, optical microscopy, and optomechanics.

During their visit, the guests delivered three specialized lectures presenting recent advances and emerging trends in optical science and photonics research. The lectures attracted researchers, students, and members of the scientific community interested in cutting-edge developments in optical technologies.

The lecture program included:

• Prof. Dr. Jiangbo She – Recent Progress of Optical Materials and Devices in XIOPM
  An overview of current developments in optical materials and advanced photonic devices at XIOPM.
• Prof. Dr. Baoli Yao – Optical Tweezers Assisted Structured Illumination Microscopy
  A presentation focused on innovative microscopy techniques combining optical tweezers and structured illumination microscopy.
• Prof. Yuxi Fu – High Power Few-Cycle MIR Femtosecond Lasers for Attosecond Science
  A lecture addressing state-of-the-art high-power ultrafast MIR laser technologies and their applications in attosecond science.
