Successful PhD Thesis Defence of Mir Saeed Sajjadi Kalajahi

On Monday, April 13, 2026, Mir Saeed Sajjadi Kalajahi successfully defended his PhD thesis . The defence was public and took place in FunGlass conference room B4.03.

His research, titled “Advanced Multi-Component Heterogeneous Photocatalysts for Environmental Remediation,” was supervised by Róbert Klement (TnUAD).

The thesis was reviewed by Prof. Ivo Kuřitka (UTB Zlín) and Assoc. Prof. Olivier Monfort (Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University Bratislava).

Mir Saeed Sajjadi began his academic journey at the University of Tabriz (Iran), where he obtained his B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry (2014) and M.Sc. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (2016). His research focuses on advanced oxidation processes and the development of nanostructured photocatalysts for environmental applications, resulting in multiple publications in leading scientific journals. He also gained industrial experience working in the glass industry before joining FunGlass as a PhD student.
