Research Visit at the University of Trento Advances Studies in Advanced Ceramic Processing

Our researcher, Dr. Harshit Tripathi, has recently completed a three-month research visit funded by the JECS Trust at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Trento, under the supervision of Prof. Vincenzo M. Sglavo.

During his stay, he investigated the mechanical properties of water-based tape-cast ceramics processed via ultra-high-temperature sintering (UHS). He also synthesized organic tapes of 8YSZ, Al₂O₃, and MgAl₂O₄, focusing on the relationship between processing conditions and microstructure.

In addition, he collaborated with Prof. Luca Lutterotti and Prof. Sglavo on stress and texture analysis of ceramics using X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques and MAUD software, gaining valuable insights into structure–property relationships.

This research visit provided an excellent opportunity to engage in an international research environment and further strengthen his expertise in advanced ceramic processing and characterization.
