Success at EORS 2025: Daniela Jaramillo Wins Best Student Poster Award in Davos, Switzerland
We are pleased to share that Dr. Germán A. Clavijo Mejía from the Department of Biomaterials and PhD student Daniela Jaramillo participated in the 33rd Annual Meeting of the European Orthopaedic Research Society (EORS), held from June 16–19, 2025, in Davos, Switzerland. This year’s congress was hosted by the AO Research Institute Davos (ARI) and organized in collaboration with ARI Orthopaedics and the International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS).
Aligned with the EORS mission—to foster research and development in orthopaedic surgery and related sciences through interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge exchange, and education—our team had the opportunity to present their latest research to an engaged and diverse healthcare community.
Dr. Germán Clavijo delivered a lecture titled:
“Fabrication of Radiopaque Bioactive Glass Coatings with Enhanced Antibacterial Activity by APS Thermal Spray.”
Daniela Jaramillo presented her poster:
“Physicochemical Characterization and In Vitro Evaluation of Bismuth-Doped Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles for Bone Void-Filling Applications.”
