Mohammed´s Research Experience at CEITEC
We are proud to share the achievement of our PhD student, Mohammed Boujida, who successfully completed an Erasmus+ training stay at CEITEC, Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic). From March to June 2025, Mohammed worked as a visiting researcher in the Advanced Multifunctional Ceramics Group, under the expert guidance of Prof. Karel Maca, Dr. Katarína Drdlíková, and Dr. Daniel Drdlík.
During this stay, Mohammed contributed to an exciting project on “Ce³⁺ Doped Garnet Transparent Ceramics for High-Brightness White LED and Laser Diode Applications”. His research focused on synthesizing and characterizing Ce:YAG ceramics using spark plasma sintering (SPS), optimizing dopant concentrations, and exploring the optical properties of transparent ceramics for advanced photonic applications.
Building on this success, Mohammed was also awarded a prestigious JECS Trust Fellowship for an additional research period (August to October 2025) at CEITEC. This experience not only enhanced his scientific expertise but also strengthened international collaboration in the field of advanced functional materials.
