FunGlass at 15th International Ceramics Congress, Perugia (Italy)

CIMTEC CIMTEC is one of the most important and worldwide recognized conferences in the field of ceramics. This year, after 2 years of pandemic-related delays it was organized on June 20-24 in Perugia, Italy, and FunGlass team was not missing.

Along with prof. Dušan Galusek, who delivered an invited lecture entitled “Ceramics with Eutectic Microstructure by Viscous Flow Sintering and Controlled Crystallization of Al2O3-Y2O3 and Al2O3-Y2O3-ZrO2 Glass”, dr. Ali Talimian also presented his results on Improving Mechanical Properties of Laminated Transparent Ceramics by Engineering Residual Stress Profiles. Our friend and FunGlass partner from the University of Padova, prof. Enrico Bernardo, delivered another invited lecture “Cordierite and SiAlON Foams from the Thermal Treatment of Geopolymer-like Hardened Suspensions” featuring the result obtained with the contribution of F. Dogrul, a PhD student of the double-degree study programme of FunGlass with the University of Padova.
