FunGlass Researchers Participate in the 2nd RIANA Training School

We are pleased to share that Avnee Chauhan and Mir Saeed Sajjadi from FunGlass were selected to participate in the 2nd RIANA Training School, held from June 1–4 at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), Germany.

The training school provided an excellent opportunity for young researchers to gain advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology, with a special focus on ion beam-based techniques.

The programme covered key topics such as ion beam fundamentals, accelerators and instrumentation, ion beam analysis, simulation of ion beam-induced damage, focused ion beam instrumentation and applications, and surface patterning using low-energy ion beams. It also included several hands-on training sessions, providing practical exposure to state-of-the-art experimental methods.

This participation highlights the continuous efforts of our researchers to strengthen their expertise, expand scientific collaboration, and engage with advanced research infrastructures across Europe.

We sincerely thank the RIANA organizers and HZDR for providing this valuable training opportunity. We would also like to congratulate our young researchers on their successful participation and commitment to professional development.
