FunGlass Hosts Ansys Simulation Workshop Under CLiCAM Project
On 29 April 2026, FunGlass organized an Ansys Introduction and Demo Session as part of the digital training and capacity-building activities within the CLiCAM project (Horizon Europe). The event aimed to strengthen expertise in computational simulation and highlight its potential applications in advanced materials research.

The session was delivered by specialists from TechSoft Engineering (Ansys authorized channel partner) —Ing. Pavel Drábek, Ph.D. (Ansys Advisor), Mgr. Michal Stupka (Optics and Photonics Specialist), and Bc. Adam Čala (Structural Specialist). The presenters introduced a wide range of simulation capabilities, including fluid flow and deposition processes, optical thin-film analysis, and structural as well as thermomechanical behavior.
The workshop attracted more than 32 participants, including researchers, PhD students, and department heads from across FunGlass. The interactive format encouraged active participation, with discussions and Q&A sessions taking place throughout the event.
The session provided valuable insights into the role of computational tools in enhancing research efficiency and innovation, while also fostering internal dialogue on future applications within FunGlass.
FunGlass extends its sincere thanks to TechSoft Engineering for delivering an informative and engaging session that contributed to the ongoing development of research excellence within the CLiCAM project.
