The 1st Biomaterials Research Day at FunGlass
On November 24, the 1st Biomaterials Research Day was held at FunGlass. Workshop was chaired by Dr. Martin Michálek, head of Department of Biomaterials, FunGlass, and co-chaired by Prof. Aldo Boccaccini, head of Institute of Biomaterials, University of Erlangen – Nuremberg.
Early career researchers from both institutions gave their presentations on bioactive glasses, bioceramics, composites, nanomaterials and functional structures for a variety of medical applications, from implants to drug delivery and regenerative medicine. Thanks to all participants for their excellent presentations and engaging discussions!
