It is pleasure for us to inform you, the FunGlass Centre, University of Trencin (Slovakia) and the Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat Erlangen-Nurnberg (Germany) have agreed upon the joint supervision and examination of the doctoral thesis undertake by the doctoral candidates: Fatih Kurtuldu and Nurshen Mutlu.

Both students will be registered and admitted at both universities as doctoral candidates during the whole time of their doctoral project. They will be supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil. Aldo R. Boccaccini (FAU Erlangen) and by Prof. Ing. Dusan Galusek, DrSc. (FunGlass Centre).

  • Fatih Kurtuldu´s Thesis: “Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Applications“.
  • Nurshen Mutlu´s Thesis: ” Incorporation of Borate Bioactive Glasses into Soft Matrices for Soft Tissue Applications”.

Upon completion of the joint examination procedure and fulfillment of all relevant academic requirements at both institutions, students will receive a doctoral degree from the FunGlass Center, University of Trencin and FAU Erlangen-Nurnberg. The FunGlass Centre is simultaneously negotiating so-called “cotutelle” agreements on joint supervision of dissertation work with two other advanced project partners: FSU Jena (Germany) and University of Padova (Italy).
