Prof. Galusek joins international ceramics seminar in Guangzhou, China

This is the final update from Prof. Dušan Galusek’s East Asia tour. He recently participated in the international cross-border seminar Polish–Slovak–Chinese Seminar on Ceramics,” held at the end of November in Guangzhou, China. During the event, he delivered a lecture entitled High-Entropy Oxide Ceramics by Pressure-Assisted Sintering of Multi-Component Rare-Earth Oxides. The seminar brought together experts from Poland, Slovakia and China to discuss recent advances in ceramic and glass materials, exchange know-how, and explore new avenues for collaborative research.

The seminar, organised under the auspices of the Polish Ceramic Society in cooperation with partner institutions from all three countries, provided a platform for scientists to present developments in ceramic processing, high-performance composites, bioactive and functional glasses, as well as emerging additive-manufacturing methods.

For Prof. Galusek and other Slovak participants from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and the Institute of Materials Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the trip to Guangzhou marked another important step in strengthening international cooperation and showcasing Slovak expertise in advanced ceramics on the Asian research stage. Through participation in such global exchanges, they aim to foster new collaborations and contribute to innovations in materials science.
