Research Stay of Hanane Bouden at FunGlass
From September 4 to October 2, 2025, FunGlass had the pleasure of hosting Hanane Bouden, a PhD student from the University of Mohamed Keider Biskra, Algeria. Her research stay was conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Jose J. Velázquez.
During her time at FunGlass, Hanane collaborated closely with Dr. Michal Zitnan, Dr. Surjyakanta Rana, Dr. Ahmed Gamal, and Badar Khan. Her work focused on the physico-chemical characterization of glasses for optical applications and on the development of novel TeO₂-based glass matrices doped with rare-earth ions.
As part of the project, the team advanced the synthesis of doped materials. The upcoming optical characterization of these materials is expected to open new possibilities for their application in cutting-edge optical technologies.
We highly appreciate Hanane’s dedication, collaborative spirit, and valuable contributions during her stay at FunGlass. Her work enriched our research activities, and it was a pleasure to welcome her as part of our team.
