Prof. Delia Brauer´s lectures at Funglass

It was a pleasure to welcome to FunGlass Prof. Delia Brauer from Otto Schott Institute of Materials Research, Fridrich Schiller University, Jena (LINK: https://www.brauergroup.uni-jena.de/).  Her research focuses on the structure-property relationship in glasses and on the development of new glass compositions to meet specific requirements. She has worked extensively with bioactive phospho-silicate glasses and phosphate glasses, studying glass degradation, mineralisation and ion release.

She stayed in Trenčín from 27 September to 11 October and FunGlass research staff visited her lectures as followed:

Tuesday, 1 October, 9:00 a.m.: “Silicate bioactive glasses: their structure and properties and how to design compositions with tailored properties”

Friday, 4 October, 10:00 a.m.: “Phosphate glasses: structure and dissolution behavior”

Tuesday, 8 October, 9:00 a.m.:  “Borate glasses: structure and properties”

Friday, 11 October, 10:00 a.m.: “Aluminosilicate glasses and glass ionomer dental cements”
