We are pleased to announce that on 26th August, 2020 Nibu G. Puthenpurayil from India has successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Transparent polycrystalline ceramic materials”. He has been working on his research topic under supervision of prof. Dušan Galusek and Monika Michalková, PhD. (co-supervisor). Nibu started PhD studies at FunGlass after completion of his M.Sc in Chemistry at Mahatma Gandhi University Kottyam in India in 2016.

 We congratulate Nibu on completing his dissertation and receiving his PhD!

At the same day, Alena Akusevich from Belarus, passed her minimal thesis exam. Alena focuses in her research onphotoluminescence properties of phosphors based on stoichiometric aluminates, silicates and alumina-silicates for applications in pc-wleds” under supervision of assoc. prof. Robert Klement. She will further develop her research topic at Otto Schott Institute of Fridrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany within a one-year training stay which is led by prof. Lothar Wondraczek.
Alena graduated from the Belarusian State Technological University and she joined FunGlass in January 2019.
