Sajana Mohanan
Sajana Mohanan completed her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Payyanur College, Kannur, India. During her undergraduate studies, her research project focused on determining the ammonia content in natural rubber latex under the supervision of Mrs. Manju R. Nath. The study involved analyzing different latex samples to quantify ammonia concentration and highlighted its essential role in stabilizing latex and preventing premature coagulation. She then pursued her Master’s degree in Chemistry at Mar Ivanios College (Autonomous), Thiruvananthapuram, India, graduating in 2023. Her master’s thesis, supervised by Ms. Binimol Mary Mathew and Dr. Sreedevi of Travancore Titanium Products Limited (TTPL), focused on the preparation and characterization of lithium nickel cobalt aluminium oxide as a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries. Currently, Sajana is a second-year Ph.D. student at the Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (FunGlass), Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, Slovakia. Her doctoral research focuses on the sustainable upcycling of waste glass through binder jetting additive manufacturing.
