Mansi Dua
Mansi Dua is a Postgraduate student in the field of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, attending NCNNUM, Mumbai, India, in the year 2022. She defended her postgraduate thesis on the topic of 1) Phosphates and Crystalline Host Waste Glasses and Ceramics derived from futuristic reactor concepts and 2) Nickel-substituted cobalt ferrite nanoparticles and bioactive glass for hyperthermia applications.
After post-graduation, she worked as a Researcher Intern in Surface Modification Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (SMT), Mumbai, for 10 months till September 2023. Mansi focused on PVD coatings for applications – pharmaceutical punch, dental, decorative, and cutlery applications and analysed them. She holds knowledge in testing tribological properties, qualitative and quantitative analysis, as well.
Currently, she is pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Dr Jozef Kraxner in FunGlass – Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin, Slovakia, since October 2023. The topic challenges to recycle waste glass and upcycle it into functional membranes for wastewater treatment.
