Badar Khan

Welcome to my profile! I’m a passionate and dedicated Ph.D. student. I completed my bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of the Punjab in 2017 and master’s degree in chemistry (Majoring in Analytical Chemistry) from The University of Lahore, Pakistan, in 2021. My primary research was focused on environmentally friendly and green chemistry techniques, such as biosorption, a green technique to remove toxic pollutants from wastewater. Furthermore, I also have considerable experience in the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles from different materials. I have made Ag, MgO and Cu-Ni bimetallic nanoparticles and characterized them via different methods. Apart from chemistry, I have also obtained a bachelor’s degree in education in 2020. I have significant experience in teaching science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics).

Currently, I’m continuing my career as a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) student at the Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (FunGlass) in Trenčín, Slovakia. My doctoral research topic is “Nano/Micro Structured Fluoride-Based Luminescent Materials for Non-Contact Optical Thermometry Application.”

My hobbies are playing chess, reading books, cooking, and traveling.
