JECS Trust approved a project of Susanta Sentupta

We would like to congratulate our PhD student Susanta Sengupta for obtaining a grant by JECS Trust Fund. JECS Trust approved Susanta´s mobility project related to the “Preparation and characterization of borosilicate glass fibers by electrospinning for tissue regenaration”. His mobility will be carried out at FunGlass partner Institute of Biomaterials of the Friedrich – Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany from February to April 2022. JECS Trust received in its spring call twelve project applications (3 for general actions and 9 for mobility) from which 9 projects were approved by JECS Trust Board in August 2021 (3 for general actions and 6 for mobility).

The JECS Trust Fund sponsors the study of ceramics through several actions: regular calls for general activities and mobility projects, Open Ceramics – peer-reviewed, open access journal of the European Ceramic Society and a companion title to its well-respected publication – Journal of the European Ceramic Society; supported activities as workshops, visits …

The main focus in the expenditure of JECS Trust mobility funding is towards student/ young researcher mobility and research activities. There are 2 call openings/ a year with deadline 31st May and 30th November. All publications arising from the projects accepted have to be submitted first to Open Ceramics. The Article Publication Charges (APC) in Open Ceramics are covered by the JECS Trust for the applicants of accepted Mobility projects.
