FunGlass at 75th Chemists Congress

FunGlass director Prof. Dušan Galusek, researcher Dr. Michal Žitňan and our PhD. student Mir S. Sajjadi participated at the 75th Chemists congress. It took place from September 4th to September 8th in Horný Smokovec in High Tatras. Chemists’ congresses are one of the most important events of the Slovak and Czech chemists’ community.  Since the division of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the venue has alternated annually between the Czech and Slovak Republics. It was organised by the Slovak Chemical Society.

Research topics presented by FunGlass:

  • Michal Žitňan: Relationship between photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes and photocatalytic water splitting in oxide and sulfide semiconductors
  • Mir S. Sajjadi: In2S3/Bi2WO6/Fe3O4 magnetic core-shell structure as an efficient catalyst for sono-photo hybrid catalytic degradation of tetracycline
