Kiana Abbasi
Kiana has an academic background in materials engineering, specializing in ceramics. She earned her Master of Science in Materials Engineering (Ceramics) from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran (2020–2024), where her research focused on the effects of sintering additives on the microstructure and electrical properties of magnesium ferrite ceramics. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at Imam Khomeini International University (2016–2020), with a sub-major in ceramics engineering.
She is now a PhD student focusing on luminescent glass-ceramic materials produced via sintering in a viscous flow method. This research direction builds naturally on her strong background in ceramic sintering processes and her experience with structural and optical characterization techniques, enabling her to investigate the relationships between processing conditions, microstructure, and luminescent properties in advanced functional materials.
