Maryam Vakhshouri

Maryam Vakhshouri received her Master of Science in Environmental Engineering with a focus on removing phosphor and nitrogen from wastewater. During her thesis, she had active research collaborations with scientists at Water Research Center, Iran, and she was ranked as the top young researcher. Her interest in materials science dates back to her Bachelor of Science days, where she carried out a project on the characterization of geologic materials.

Before joining FunGlass, she worked for a knowledge-based company in the field of fabrication of master alloys in Iran. She joined the Joint Glass Center (Vitrum Laugaricio-VILA) as a Ph.D. student at the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín. Maryam’s research focuses on advanced materials with eutectic microstructures that can be used for high-temperature applications.

Dissertation topic: Advanced Materials with Eutectic Microstructure for High Temperature and Functional Applications.

Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Dušan Galusek, DrSc.

Co-supervisor: Ing. Anna Prnová, Ph.D.

Department: Joint Glass Center (Vitrum Laugaricio-VILA)

Beginning of study: 01.12.2020

Date of dissertation exam: 31.08.2022
