2^nd annual meeting of International Advisory Board (IAB) of FunGlass in Saint Malo

It is with pleasure that we can report on 2^nd annual meeting of International Advisory Board (IAB) held on July 8, 2018 in Saint Malo, France.

Since getting IAB members coming from non-European countries are usually hard to get into one meeting room, we used the opportunity of their and FunGlass partners’ attending The 15th International Conference on the Physics of Non-Crystalline held in Saint Malo from July 8-12, 2018 and organized the meeting right in the seat of this scientific event.

The meeting was led by prof. Dušan Galusek, the coordinator and Director of FunGlass. In consistence with the IAB goal to identify existing directions and new trends in the field of research of FunGlass, help to specify problems and research topics that can be resolved by the Centre, IAB agenda not only covered variety of issues related to overview and status of FunGlass project but also resulted into vivid discussion touching on areas where IAB members can provide their support, such as improvements to postdocs & PhD recruiting strategies, KPIs for research activities, research focus areas, research experimental techniques, improvements to industrial cooperation activities, etc..
